Scholars Visit Schools

Scholar visits to Long Beach schools are the largest component of Smithsonian Week.  Each day during the week, Smithsonian scholars conduct lectures and assemblies for students from elementary to university level. During Smithsonian Week, Long Beach schools will learn from several Smithsonian scholars.  Scholars will reach over 7,000 students and educators through school visits and direct interaction.  The visits provide teachers and educators an opportunity to extend classroom learning.
